Hobby Projects I’m Considering and Why.

We all take on projects, whether we enjoy them, or simply need to do them. Today I’ll be discussing some of the projects that I myself do for enjoyment.

The first project I’ll be telling you about is more of a group effort. In my local park, hidden by some trees, is a small bike park. During the month of January, on a fairly nice yet still cold day, I was riding my bike around the park, when I saw a friend of mine. He, as well as a few of his friends, were building and trying to maintain the jumps that were already there. Since then not much has changed, but on occasion, I ride out to the park with a shovel, and try to maintain, or even build, some of the jumps. The reason that I enjoy that small, flat section is because there aren’t many other places nearby to ride. Riding and jumping bikes has been a passion of mine ever since I first learned to ride.

Another project that I’m working on is setting up a model train layout. I’ve enjoyed playing with trains since I was young, though I’m not entirely sure why, just yet. Currently the project is postponed, at least until my bedroom is finished. I also postponed it due to a lack of funding. It may be an expensive hobby, but it’s one of my favorites.

As mentioned in the beginning of this article, there are projects that we don’t do simply because we enjoy them. However, if you can find something enjoyable about them, they become more enjoyable.
